Here We Stand: An OPC Zoom Forum on Immigration Justice, Part 2
Monday, April 13
7:00 to 8:00 PM
On Zoom
The Mission and Outreach Committee welcomes members and friends of Overbrook to participate in the continuing discussion of the PC(USA)'s response to the national immigration crisis. Please join us as we prayerfully discern Overbrook's call to immigration justice. The goal for this session will be the development of a leadership team that will be tasked with the drafting of a congregational action plan. The spirit of hope and social justice is at work at Overbrook!
Contemplative Dinner
Tuesday, April 14
5:45 to 7:30 PM
Wistar Morris Room
Join us as we explore Musica Divina, or the practice of listening to music as prayer. We'll spend time with the minimalist sounds of Arvo Pärt on vinyl. This is a somatic practice—an invitation to receive music through your body rather than your mind. Lie down, close your eyes, and let the music pray through you. Bring a yoga mat or towel for the full embodied experience, or simply listen from your seat. A meal from Nana's Kitchen follows. Childcare will offered by Deja. Click here to RSVP.
Caregiver Support Group
Friday, April 17
10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
OPC Conference Room
We are excited to announce that OPC is starting a monthly caregiver support group which will meet the third Friday of the month from 10:30 to noon. Each month we will explore a topic of interest for you. We invite you to join us on this journey of self-care and spiritual growth. Whether you are new or have walked this path before, come as you are, and together, let's discover the power of caring for ourselves and others.
Kensington Project
Sunday, April 19
10:00 AM
The Kensington Project is a non-profit organization that supports people affected by the opioid crisis in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood. Youth and families are invited to join us as we feed, clothe, and love our neighbors. If you would like more information or would like to attend, please contact Becky Lazo or Suchita Fiorillo.
SoulCollage Retreat for Adults
Sunday, April 19
6:30 PM
SoulCollage is a simple, contemplative practice: listen to your heart, tear images from magazines, arrange them into small collages, and respond with poetry from what emerges. No art experience needed—just a willingness to pay attention to what catches your eye. We will meet in the Sunday School classrooms. All ages 18+ are welcome. Click here to RSVP.
RPM Café: “Happy Bard’s Day: A Celebration of William Shakespeare (and the King James Version)”
Friday, April 24
11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Anderson Hall (upper level)
African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas
Leave today behind and travel back in time to Elizabethan England for a birthday celebration fit for a bard! Our lunch buffet will feature authentic Elizabethan fare adapted for twenty-first-century taste buds. Special guests will include characters from Shakespeare’s most memorable works; attendees will have the opportunity to dine with the matinee idols of the 1590s! If you would like to join the “All-Star Elizabethan Cooking Team,” please contact Sharon Parker.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my personal information safe and who can see my information?
All of your information is safe and cannot be accessed by anyone that has not been invited to join Realm. You also can set your privacy to limit what members/friends see on the directory. While you can hide the majority of your information from most of the church, you should know that, regardless of your settings, contact data will still be visible to certain members of the church staff.
How do I set my privacy settings?
Log into Realm.
Click your name in the upper-right corner, and select My Profile.
Select a family member (if more than one).
On the Info tab, next to Edit Profile, click to the privacy icon.
Click Everyone for your Privacy setting - or use Custom Privacy to set them how you prefer. Remember, even if you choose Everyone, your information is only available to other OPC Realm users.
Click Save.
Regardless of your settings, your information can be seen by Staff.
Realm will not load on my computer. What do I do?
Make sure that you are using a compatible browser.
For best results, keep your browser updated to the latest version. We recommend using the latest version of any of the following internet browsers:
  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari
  • If you want to check that you are using the latest browser go to whatbrowser.org to find out.
Operating Systems: Some older operating systems cannot use the latest browser versions. If your operating system cannot use the latest version of your browser, update the operating system first. This will not only give you access to the best features in Realm, but will help ensure your security on the Internet. Out-of-date operating systems and browsers are far more vulnerable to attacks.
How do I create a Secure Password?
Your Realm password must be 8 or more characters long. There is no maximum limit on length. The longer a password, the more secure it is. Each additional character makes it exponentially harder to crack.
It must also meet 3 of the following additional requirements:
  • Contain at least 1 uppercase character.
  • Contain at least 1 lowercase character.
  • Contain at least 1 symbol (!,@,#,$,%,^, etc.).
  • Contain at least 1 number.
  • Contain 15 or more characters.
  • Your password cannot:
  • Contain any 3-or-more-character sequence from your username or email. If, for instance, your username is JeffAnderson@jeffsemail.com, your password could not contain "jeff", "ander", etc.
  • Include 3 or more repeating characters (222, etc.)
  • Include 3 or more characters in sequence (123, 321, abc, etc.)
  • Where can I find more help?
Visit Realm's online help section for more information on updating your information, adding your photo, viewing your giving information, viewing the online directory, getting updates on upcoming events, and lots more!
If you have any questions or want to know more about Realm please feel free to contact our office at 215-877-2744 and we will be more than happy to assist.
