Lay Leader

Activity Participate in leading worship with the Pastor and Music Director
When? On rotating schedule during Sunday's service (quarterly at most)
Talent? Willingness to familiarize oneself with scripture reading and order of service in advance, can clearly project voice and enunciate readings, prayers and/or announcements.

Ushers

Activity Serve as usher for Sunday morning worship service. Distribute bulletins, assist visitors, receive offering.
When? Sunday morning: 11 AM September through May, 10 AM in the summer

Flowers

Activity Those wishing to donate flowers for the Sunday worship service may sign the sheet in the church office. Assistance may be needed with special seasonal displays, such as at Christmas and Easter.

Presenting Minute for Mission

Activity Participate in yearly mission fundraising by presenting a semi-prepared "Minute for Mission" during worship.
When? One presentation only - usually the week before Palm Sunday
Talent? Capable of standing up in front of the congregation and speaking persuasively for a good cause

Tidy Sanctuary After Worship

Activity Refill offering envelopes & pencils, collect trash and replace hymnals and bibles in their proper place in the pews. A "quick job".
When? After Sunday and special services. Coordinate with Janet Brown, who does this with her children on Sundays they are present.

The Worship and Music Committee of the Session

Activity Oversees, plans and reviews matters relating to worship and to the music program, including special services and seasonal events relating to Christmas, Lent and Easter.
When? Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the church
Talent? An interest in corporate worship and in music
