Leading
Adult Christian Education Forums and Discussions
| Activity |
We
encourage church members to lead Christian education activities because
teaching is a learning experience in itself. In the Adult Forums,
leaders will speak about their faith journeys, facilitate discussions
or even explore a special topic relating to the Christian faith in
all its dimensions. Groups are generally small (10 to 15 people),
the atmosphere very warm, informal and friendly. Attendance is open
to all. Child care is provided. |
| When? |
Adult
Education Forum is on Sunday mornings at 9:00. Classes end by 10:15.
Special gatherings may be held in the evenings during Lent (typically
Fridays), beginning with supper at 6:00PM, discussion at 7, ending
by 8:00PM |
| Talent? |
A
willingness to share, an open heart, an inquiring mind are the most
basic requirements. Areas such as the intersection of work and faith,
individual areas of study and sometimes just personal life experiences
are of great interest as they bring to light the diversity of paths
that constitute the Christian Journey of faith |

Youth
Group
The Youth
Group of Overbrook Presbyterian Church serves as Overbrook's agent in
its commitment to helping parents rear their children in love and knowledge
of God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our activities fall into
one of three categories: fellowship, education and service. Weekly meetings
are held during the year. We organize social events, field trips and work
parties in consultation with the pastor. Volunteers are needed to assist
with various aspects of the Youth Group program.
