OVERVIEW OF YOUTH GROUP

The primary mission of the youth group at OPC is to provide a safe, nurturing and non-judgmental environment where teenagers can engage in opportunities for fun, fellowship, faith-building, and service to others.

  • Middle school youth meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30 until 8:00
  • High school youth meet on Sunday mornings during worship

Mission/service opportunites for youth groups at OPC

·        Living Word Community Center – Prepare and serve lunch, and participate in a brief worship service at a church in downtown Philadelphia.  This is done three to four times per year.

·        Aid for Friends – Cook and package meals to be delivered to area shut-ins.

·        69th Street Life Center – Help serve meals at a local shelter in Upper Darby.

·        Broad Street Ministry  - Help to sort and deliver donated Whole foods produce from downtown distribution center to Broad Street Ministry.

·        Mission trips – Help plan and participate in an annual mission trip
